1. Purpose

This ensures continuity of operations, data security, and minimal service downtime.
2. Scope
This plan applies to all operations at SAIC, including:
- Scientific instruments and their operational continuity

- Facility and infrastructure management
- Personnel safety and emergency response

4. Contingency Measures
4.1 Power FailuresBackup power solutions, including UPS and generators, will ensure uninterrupted operations.
4.2 Hardware and Software FailuresRegular maintenance and redundant systems will minimize downtime. A rapid replacement protocol will be in place.
4.3 Cybersecurity ThreatsFirewalls, antivirus software, regular security audits, and employee training will enhance cybersecurity defenses.
4.4 Natural DisastersDisaster recovery procedures include off-site backups, emergency response coordination, and facility preparedness.
4.5 Data Loss or CorruptionAutomated daily backups and a secure cloud storage system will be implemented for data recovery.
